Motives by Loren Ridinger & Market Philippines

I was invited by Ms. Kristine Gianna Roa of InStyleCebu to attend a demo of Motives by Loren Ridinger last Saturday, March 26. It was held at O2 Spa, The Strip, Osmeña Blvd, Capitol, Cebu. The featured make-up artist was Menchu Ouano-Esdaile.

I have to say, It was my first make-up party & I was super excited! It started at 1:00 PM and I was fashionably late! It was a good thing Kristine was on her way so we simply went in together. By the time we sat down, the make-up artist already started the demo. The products were laid out on the table, and the rest of the audience were concentrating on what was presented in front.

It was an intimate gathering mostly composed of bloggers. The food was delicious! Thank you to Ms. Justinne Go of O2 Spa. Anyway, I was extremely curious about the product, especially when I learned it was from the makers of MAC and Chanel. I immediately got a brochure and skimmed through. To those of you who haven’t heard of this line before, here’s a brief introduction about Loren Ridinger:

She applies her extensive business and marketing experience, as well as her hands-on management approach to all facets of Market America’s operations.

Here is a concise overview of what the Cosmetic line offers to its customers:

Apparently, it started last 2008 under Market America. Now, it is finally available in Cebu through Market Philippines. The products include pressed & creme eye shadows, blush & bronzers, nail polish, lip plumpers, brush sets, skin care and more.

We all sat there watching the make-up artist do her thing. A lot of people were taking pictures. I took a video of the event and I even interviewed one of the women who had a make-over. If you want to see how it went, just check out my YouTube channel. I will be posting it there.

Unfortunately, I was unable to try the products myself. I only viewed them from where I was sitting. It was also a bit difficult to review the products from how it was used on the clients. I wish I had a more intimate time with them, especially since I have never heard of it, nor have I encountered anyone who uses it.

As for the price, the products range from P700 to about P1,600 or more. I can’t clearly recall. To be honest, it is quite pricey. I was tempted to get a few products but since I was unable to test them, I held back.

If you are curious about the products, I suggest you Google it. Read reviews, or watch Tutorials and reviews on YouTube. I’m sorry if I can’t help you in that area. Nevertheless, if you really are interested, or if you’re familiar with the product, and you’d like to get a hold of them, you can check out this link

The rest of the party was used to talk about Market Philippines, an extension of the growing online shopping place called Market America. The products involved were Skintelligence, Isotonix, and of course, Motives. I was quite interested with the idea; however, I couldn’t make a decision all by myself! If you wish to ask about how their marketing strategy works, just contact Menchu Esdaile via email at or check out their Facebook page at

All in all, it was a great experience. I would like to thank Ms. Kristine Roa, Ms. Justinne Go, Mrs. Menchu Esdaile, and the rest of the people involved. It was definitely one for the books! I hope to attend more of these special events and be able to share it with others. Till next time guys, much love from Janz 🙂
