DIY Makeup Organizer

A quick and easy DIY makeup organizer

I’ve always been into DIY projects. I especially love doing eco-friendly ones that use recycled materials. So, I decided to make a DIY makeup organizer using available materials in the house. It’s super easy and you can use this for makeup, brushes, school supplies, or anything you want to organize in a container. But I specifically made this for my every day makeup products.

It’s definitely a cheaper alternative to buying ready-made acrylic or plastic organizers that retail for $7-$10 each or even more and you can’t even customize the amount of space available for your items. With your DIY makeup organizer, you have full control!

These are the materials you will need for the DIY makeup organizer:

  • A box – The size depends on the items you want to put in it. You can use any kind of box, just make sure it’s durable. I used a regular USPS flat rate box.
  • Collect old magazines, left-over wrappers, or just plain white or colored paper.
  • White and Black paper (optional)
  • Hardcore scissors (lol) – You can also use a handy cutter.
  • Regular glue
  • Super Glue or Glue Gun
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Ruler

Remember, you can use this for any kind of organizer. You can make a bigger or smaller version, you can also make the separators detachable. Just apply the same concept and let your creativity run wild!
