Firmoo is an online eyeglasses store that offers a variety of prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, specialty eye-wear, as well as fashion glasses. They are based in China, but they have an office in New York. They ship international via USPS, which is really convenient. If you want more information about shipping and tracking, click here.

To be honest, I’ve never purchased eyeglasses online until Firmoo, mainly because I didn’t have my prescription before (you need a signed prescription from your eye doctor) and I was afraid that I wouldn’t be fully satisfied since I can’t physically see or try it on. So what changed my mind?
First of all, I was contacted by a Firmoo representative that gave a detailed introduction about their company, what they have to offer, and their “First Pair of Glasses Free” program. After reading it, I knew that it was something I believed in and would love to try out to share with my readers and viewers.
Secondly, I checked the Firmoo site and saw that it was very user friendly, it was designed to cater to even those that have not experienced buying their prescription glasses online. They also have a virtual “Try-on” system that allows you to upload a photo of yourself and virtually put on the eyeglasses you’ve chosen which I thought was very, very helpful! They provide a detailed description of the eyeglasses with measurements and additional gallery of photos from actual customers wearing the frames.
Third, their frames and lenses are very affordable! They have a wide selection categorized according to shape, usage, vision, etc. I really liked how they organized the site. It was very easy to navigate.
Lastly, they were very kind and courteous enough to assist me with my order. I was very hesitant because I have a very high grade and I couldn’t just pick any frame because it would make my eyes bulge and the frames might not fit the lenses because of how thick they are. They helped me throughout the whole process and I am very happy with how it turned out. If you are like me, then don’t hesitate to contact them about inquiries or for assistance. They will help you!
These are the frames I got from Firmoo. It’s the OK2064S that are square medium sized frames. For details about this model like measurements and fit, just click here.
These frames cost $26 and already come with the standard 1.50 single vision lenses. If you have low grade, then you’re basically just paying that amount and shipping that’s $6 via USPS. You have an option to add features to your lenses with additional fees that are very reasonable.
I chose the 1.60 frames because it’s preferable if you have a grade that’s -4.00 above. If you have a grade that’s -3.00 below and have thick lenses that make your eyes bulge, you can always get the aspherical ones.
It came with these accessories:
This is a photo of the first time I tried it on. I was on my way out and thought it would be perfect to try it out.
In case you’re wondering I’m wearing Wet n’ Wild’s Liquid Lip Color in “Red My Mind” (lol) It gives you instant lip injection!
Now on to the main topic, the ordering process and my impression. I ordered mine on March 15, 2013 and it was processed on March 20th. This is due to the lenses I ordered. They are specialized and needed to be ordered and fitted to the frames. Normally, it just takes 2-3 days for the processing time if you get the standard ones. After it was processed, it was shipped on March 21st and I received it on March 28th. All in all it took only 2 weeks! The whole time I was being updated on what’s going on and what’s going to happen, which is to me, is the essence of great customer service!
I have a video up talking about my eyesight, how I chose my frames and lenses, and how the whole process went including what I think about my new glasses, so you will be guided if you decide to try out the site. So check it out!
I hope this really helps! See you on my next post 🙂
